Isaac Truman of the Petrolia Flyers had three assists for Team West in a 10-5 win over Team North in one of two PJHL Prospects Game.

Truman, who has nine goals and 16 points in 12 games for the Flyers this season, and riding a 10-game point streak, was chosen player of the game in Wingham Nov. 8.

Dustin Sweeney of the Dresden Jr. Kings scored a goal for the winners. Kurtis Smith of the Jr. Kings had two assists for Team West while Sting draft choice Ethan Glavin of the Mooretown Flags also had a helper.

Meantime, the Flyers jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead and had a 4-3 advantage in the second period, but a five-goal middle frame propelled the Lucan Irish to a 7-5 win at Greenwood Nov. 6.

It was only Lucan’s second win of the season. The Flyers fall to 7-5-1.

Tobias Iantorno led Petrolia with a goal and three assists. Truman and Cameron Davidson both contributed a goal and a helper while the other markers went to Jace McGrail and Rhett Joy. Andrew Jaques had two assists.

Tyler Strain allowed three goals on nine shots and was replaced by Theron Morningstar early in the second period. 

Morningstar stopped 14 of 18 the rest of the way.

Petrolia outshot the Irish, 44-27.

This week, the Flyers host North Middlesex Thursday (tonight) and travel to Exeter for a Friday night contest.
