The East Lambton Eagles under-16 A squad is heading for the International Silver Stick finals in Newmarket next month.
The Eagles avenged a one-goal loss to the Southwest Admirals in the preliminary round with a 7-2 victory over the team from Huron County in the final on Sunday. East Lambton advanced to the champion contest with a 5-2 victory over the Kent Cobras in the semi-finals.
The Eagles had beaten Tecumseh and Barrie in the preliminary round to finish their championship with an overall record of 4-1.
