Long-serving firefighters honoured

Warwick and Watford firefighters were recently honoured for their service to the community.
Warwick Chief Brad Goodhill, second from the left, was presented with a commemorative axe by the Warwick Firefighters’ Association for his 40 years of service.
Warwick also honoured firefighters Trenton Straatman, Carson Rombouts and Nick Henderson for five years of service. Capt. Shawn McPherson was recognized for 15 years service and Capt. Aaron Turner and Deputy Chief Kameron Turner both celebrated 25 years of service.
In Watford, Lieut. Mike Bryce was honoured for 20 years of service and Capt. Jeff Sitlington marked 15 years of service. Capt. Chad Tamminga was honoured for five years of service and Lieut. Lucas Couwenberg was recognized for 10 years of service. The honours were presented by Chief Rick Sitlington.
