The LCCVI senior girls rugby team fell 32-5 to Ursuline College in their season opener on Tuesday afternoon in Petrolia.
This was the first time these two teams had met since the LKSSAA final last season, which the Chatham-based team won 58-10.
Mya Beaudoin scored the lone Lancer try in the rematch.
LCCVI heads out on the road next week, playing Northern Collegiate in Sarnia on Tuesday, April 28 at 4:00 pm.
