Mooretown pool, fitness centre won’t reopen in September

Wyoming wins Dave Leach Memorial Tournament

Mitch Robb hit a two-run homer and drove in three runs to lead the Wyoming Cattlebarons to an 8-3 win over the host Port Lambton Pirates in the final of the Dave Leach Memorial Tournament last weekend.
Robb was chosen as the tournament MVP with two victories on the mound, striking out eight over 11 innings pitched and two home runs and seven RBI at the plate.
Brock Morgan also drove in a trio of runs for the Barons in the championship game while Travis Helps went four-for-four at the dish.
Kyle Cattrysse had two hits and two RBI for the Pirates.
Corey Saunders picked up the win, scattering eight hits and striking out six. Curtis McCallum took the loss.
Warren Boersma and Daniel Gibson each had three hits and Eric Marsh collected two hits, including a two-run double, to lead Wyoming to a 6-3 win over Corunna in the semi-finals.
Robb was the winning pitcher. Saunders earned the save. Randy Thingstad suffered the loss.
Greg Sinclair and Zach Moore had two hits each for the Giants and Charlie Brander drove in a pair of runs.
