Ty Sebastian of the Bear Creek Express was named one of three pitchers to the International Softball Congress (ISC) all-
world team following the completion of the 2026 World FastPitch tournament near Melbourne last weekend.

It’s the third time in the last four years he’s been chosen for the team.

Sebastian, a former pitcher with the then Alvinston Aces reached the final day of the tournament but lost to the eventual champion Hill United Chiefs in the semi-finals.

Sarnia’s Brad Young and Kevin Morgan were both on the coaching staff of the Express while ex-Alvinston Aces skipper Paul “Chico” McCart was the team general manager.

McCart is also the GM of the Gremlins and JDT First Energy.

Alvinston’s Andy Triest played in the prestigious tournament with St. Thomas as did several other former Aces including Aaron Stocking, Robbie Black, Bryan Johnson, Taylor Degraw, Ben Hodgins and Steve Lyons.

Jeff Lyons, another ex-Alvinston player, was on the roster of the JDT First Energy squad.

Triest will see more action later this month.

He will be part of the Shakespeare Falcons at the Canadian Masters Softball Championship in Saskatoon.
