One major construction project is complete and another is set to begin again in Lambton County.
Lambton County officials say the intersection of Confederation and Nauvoo Road is complete. It had been closed to summer traffic since July 1.
Officials say the lights hanging at the intersection are not yet working. For now, traffic will operate as it did before with Nauvoo Road traffic having the right of way and traffic on Confederation stopping to cross.
Meantime, Lambton Shores officials are gearing up to complete the final pieces of the Ontario Street Bridge in Grand Bend.
The municipality has been working on the project for two years, stopping to allow the free flow of traffic in the busy beach town during the summer. Once the kids head back to school, construction workers will be back on the job and lane closures will be in effect again.
Officials say in the coming weeks, the municipality’s contractor will be connecting watermain, storm sewers and completing sidewalk and curb and gutter work.
