OPP looking for information after reports of a man in the St. Clair River under Bluewater Bridge

Police are looking for a man after calls about someone going into the St. Clair River near at the Bluewater Bridge.
Lambton OPP received a call around 6 pm, Wednesday, saying a man was seen entering the water at the Bluewater Bridge. Police says he was last seen wearing blue swim shorts and a grey sweater.
Sarnia Fire Rescue’s marine unit was on the scene. Fire officials said in a social media post “during a systematic search of the area, conflicting information was received indicating the person may have entered the water from the Canadian shoreline and exited shortly afterward.
“After a thorough search by Sarnia Fire, the Ontario Provincial Police and Point Edward Fire, both by water and land, no physical evidence was located and no activity matching the reported incident was identified on border camera footage. The search was eventually called off.”
The OPP is looking for anyone with information or who may have witnessed the person involved.
