St. Clair Township’s three food banks are benefiting from a day of golf in the sun.
The St. Clair Township Fire Department and CF Industries raised $48,000 for Brigden Caring Cupboard, Sacred Heart Port Lambton Food Bank and St. Andrew’s Food Bank in Corunna during its tournament in June.
“It’s a great example of community partners working together to support our friends and neighbours in need,” said St. Clair Fire Chief Richard Boyes in a news release. “These donations will make a meaningful difference for our local food banks and the people they serve.”
In just two years, the tournament, which was revived in 2025 after the pandemic, raised a total of $90,000, providing $30,000 to each of the three local food banks.
