The Independent Lambton OPP are once again warning seniors to be careful of callers claiming to be grandchildren in trouble. In early December, police heard from a Corunna resident who lost $8,500 to scammers. The victim told police they’d received a call from someone they thought was their grandchild. They had talked to the grandchild’s lawyer and arrangements were made.

Lambton OPP hopes to find the owner of an urn. OPP received a call New Years’ Day about an urn recovered from the St. Clair River, near St. Clair Parkway, south of Moore Line. The urn is made of metal and is blue and silver in colour. The OPP is hoping to get the urn back to its rightful owner.
