Former Courtright haunt of Al Capone being demolished

The big guy has been invited.
Petrolia’s Community Services Department has set Dec. 7 at 2 pm for the annual Santa Claus Parade. The theme this year is An Island Christmas.
Dave Menzies, director of community services, says floats can focus on any island including Caribbean, tropical or even the island of Newfoundland.
“Has the big guy been invited?” asked Mayor John McCharles.
“I’ve sent him a text, Facebooked him, tweeted him, but I haven’t got a response yet,” says Menzies, adding Santa knows he needs to be in Petrolia early in December.
Menzies adds the evening before will be Christmas in the Park.
