All eyes are on the puck during the dying minutes of the Midget A Silver Stick finals. Amherstburg beat the Oilers 2-0. Since it was Petrolia’s first loss in the tournament, the teams meet again Thursday at 8pm.

The Petrolia Oiler Midgets will have another shot at Silver Stick glory Thursday night.

The Oilers fell to the Amherstburg Stars 2-0 in the Midget A final Wednesday night at the Greenwood Recreation Center in Petrolia in Regional Silver Stick action. Because Petrolia had not lost in the tournament, the Stars need to beat the Oilers twice. The final game will be Thursday at 8 pm.

Amherstburg scored in the first and that was the only  scoring until late in the third when the Stars found the back of the net with 1:14 left in the period.
