Over 1,800 traffic charges laid on long weekend in southwestern Ontario

High winds make for challenging driving
January 25, 2014
Driving conditions in Petrolia and Central Lambton can be challenging at times.
Lambton County road crews are out in the ploughs but gusty winds are causing rapid drifting especially on secondary roadways.
Oil Heritage Line (formerly Highway 21) is track bare in places but in open areas the road remains snow covered.
The conditions are not likely to improve overnight with the winds expected to gust between 36 and 50 km over night with temperatures in the -15 to -19 C range with wind chills in the -26 to -30 range.
