The Petrolia Lions held their Club Level Effective Speaking contest on Sunday, February 16th, 2014. There were eight Junior Level, one Intermediate Level and two Senior Level participants. We appreciate the time and effort everyone made in presenting their very well thought out and informative speeches. It is thanks to the participants that we had a successful day. The successful 1st Place and 2nd Place candidates will now proceed to our District Effective Speaking contest to be held in Chatham. Winners for the each of the categories are: Junior Level: 1st Place Anna Leaper, 2nd Place Logan Wilkie and 3rd Place Peter Darrach. Intermediate Level: Marissa Mueller. Senior Level: 1st Place Elleke Beret, 2nd Place Sara Cecile. Thanks again to everyone and hope to see you next year.
