Petrolia doctor John Butler has been named Physician of the Year by Bluewater Health.

The family physician was given the award at a banquet recently.

Butler is part of a group which formed the Central Lambton Family Health Team, he’s active in recruiting new doctors to the community and he has helped bring student doctors to Petrolia’s Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital.

Dr. Butler regularly teaches medical students and residents and was instrumental in establishing the Family Medicine Residency program in Petrolia. He is a strong advocate for his patients and collaborates with his fellow physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver excellent patient care.
