One in custody after Dresden standoff
March 27, 2015
Chatham-Kent Police have taken a Dresden man into custody after a 11 hour standoff.
Police went to a home on Highway 21 north of Dresden last night to arrest a man, but he was “uncooperative and refused to surrender.”
The Chatham-Kent Police called in the OPP Tactical Unit and blocked off the road from Kent Line to Dresden until 11 am this morning when police took the man into custody “without incident.”
Highway 21 is now open.
No word yet what charges will be laid in the incident.
