Environment Minister has no time for Warwick Council
Ontario’s Environment Minister will not speak with Warwick Council at this week’s Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference in Niagara Falls about a full-time inspector at the Twin Creeks landfill site in Watford.
In a correspondence to council, Glen Murray’s office says the issue is best dealt with at the local level and to that end, Mayor Todd Case says a meeting will be scheduled with Mike Moroney of the Sarnia MOE office in the future.
Warwick Council is on record as saying it does not support the MOE’s decision to reduce the presence of an inspector at the Waste Management facility from daily to monthly.
