One dead, a teen critically injured in Courtright Line crash

An 89 year old man is dead and a 19 year old man is critically injured after a pickup truck, transport and motorcycle collided.

Lambton OPP were called to the corner of Courtright Line and Mandaumin Road around 2:45 yesterday.

A transport truck with a trailer had been travelling west on Courtright Line when a pickup southbound on Mandaumin came toward the intersection. They collided and the trailer of the truck detached and went into the eastbound lanes of Courtright Line. 19 year old James Stafford was in that lane on his motorcycle and hit the trailer.

There was a fire because of the accident which was put out by St. Clair Township Fire Department

The transport truck driver received medical attention at the scene and was cleared.  The driver of the pick- up truck was taken to hospital by land ambulance.  The operator of the motorcycle was transported to hospital by air ambulance.

The pickup truck driver, 89 Theodore Carron of Thamesville died early this morning. Stafford is in critical condition.

OPP continue the investigation.
