McCabe acclaimed OFA president

Inwood farmer Don McCabe has been acclaimed as the president of Ontario’s largest farm organization.
This will be the second year McCabe has served as the president of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.
McCabe has been an active member of the OFA for years, serving on local boards. In 2008, he became vice president.
He was named to the top job at the OFA’s annual conference in Toronto Monday.
The no-till corn, soybean and wheat farmer has been an advocate for environmental farm stewardship including using corn stalks as a bio-energy feed stock in southern Ontario.
“We will continue to engage, ask and communicate. Trust is earned, credibility mattersand relationships rule,” he was quoted as saying via Twitter.
