Michael Leighton is at or near the top in every goaltending category in the American Hockey League this season.
The Petrolia-born puckstopper is tied for the league lead with 11 victories for the Rockford IceHogs, the top farm club of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Leighton also sports a goals against average of 2.15 and a save percentage of .925.
Last month, the 34-year-old former member of the Petrolia Jets became just the 13th player in AHL history to win at least 200 games between the pipes when he backstopped the IceHogs to a 5-2 win over Iowa in Des Moines.
