Pizza Power: Petrolia chows down Saturday

Seven pizzarias will be serving up slices in Petrolia’s third annual Pizzafest.
Streets Eatery & Pub, Helen’s Hideaway Restaurant & Pizzeria, Bud’s Pizza, Matteo’s Pizza, Petrolia Pizza and Subs, Johnny G’s Premium Pizza Plus and Godfather’s Pizza have all agreed to set up shop in Victoria Park June 4 between 11 am to 7 pm, selling slices for $2 each. Last year 5,000 slices were sold.
The event, organized by the Town of Petrolia, is a fundraiser for the Petrolia Community Foundation.
The park will also be filled with music with a number of bands including including Brooklyn Roebuck, Borderline, The Tail Draggers, Rob Jenkins and The Room, and Electric Popsicle, performing.
In the evening, the Geoff Massey Band will perform from 8 pm to 10 pm.
