COUNTY OF LAMBTON NEWS RELEASE
The County of Lambton is advising the public of a full road closure scheduled to begin Monday, March 6 in east Lambton, weather permitting.
County Road 79 (Nauvoo Road) from north of County Road 4 (Petrolia Line) to south of Lasalle Line in Brooke-Alvinston is scheduled to be closed for six days for slope repair work. Only emergency vehicles will be permitted through the site during the closure.
Motorists, particularly truck loads exceeding half load limits, should follow posted detour routes along the County Road network and avoid gravel roads.
The road is scheduled to reopen on the seventh working day at which time motorists should expect lane closures and traffic delays until the completion of the project, which is expected to last approximately two weeks in total. Motorists are asked to be patient and slow down while driving through the construction zone.
