Another COVID-19 death at Vision Nursing Home

A fifth resident of Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia has passed away because of COVID-19.
Lambton Public Health reports another staff member at the home has also tested positive for the respiratory virus.
An outbreak was declared at the home April 23 and since then staff members have been living on site to try to stop the spread of the virus.
There are now 20 residents and 19 staff members who have COVID-19. Five people have died including one female resident yesterday.
In all, there are 245 people in Lambton County who have tested positive so far, 173 have recovered.
Seventeen per cent of the people with COVID-19 are health care workers. Twenty two per cent of the cases are in nursing homes.
