May 28, 2020
Cami Sinclair has been honoured with the the Rev. Norbert Huetter Award as the Female Athlete at the University of Detroit Mercy who best exemplifies attitude, leadership and dedication.
Sinclair, a senior from Oil City, was part of the 2019 Horizon League softball champions and was a dedicated and instrumental leader of the program. As one coach put it “Cami would do anything for her team, she would run into a brick wall for her teammates and that attitude helped us to reach our goal.”
Sinclair’s father, Tom, says Cami missed most of her Senior year at Detroit Mercy. She had overcome some injuries and was hopeful for a strong comeback year, but the virus had other plans.
Sinclair, one of three sisters who has excelled in softball, is a product of the Enniskillen Express program.
