A Dawn-Euphemia man was fined for possessing methamphetamine.
Larry Moody, 59, of Dawn-Euphemia was arrested in September 2019 following a car crash on Hale School Road.
Police found a car abandoned in a ditch at around 9:30 a.m., and while searching the vehicle discovered a backpack containing Moody’s ID, along with 15 grams of methamphetamine and cannabis. Shortly after Moody was located at a nearby residence, where he was found to be in possession of more methamphetamine.
The judge agreed to a $1,000 fine, noting Moody’s last conviction was not since 2013, he has not used meth since the incident, and has sought help for addiction issues.
