Another Vision Nursing Home resident dies of COVID-19

June 7, 2020

Another resident of Vision Nursing Home has died at Bluewater Health from COVID-19.

Nine elderly residents were moved from their Sarnia nursing home to the hospital in late May in an effort to control the six-week long outbreak at the home.

Statistics from Lambton Public Health show another resident passed away this weekend. Ten seniors at the home have now died from the virus.

And Lambton Public Health says another health care worker has tested positive at Vision as well.

That means 26 residents and 26 staff members have contracted the virus since April 23.

Statistics show there have been 263 people test positive for COVID-19 in Lambton County – 223 have recovered and 25 people have died.

Just over three per cent of the 8,106 people tested for the virus have tested positive.
