Nearly 20 per cent of Lambton COVID-19 cases at Vision

The COVID-19 outbreak at Vision Nursing Home continues, with another staff member testing positive for the virus.

Lambton Public Health reported two cases of COVID-19 Sunday, one was a staff member at the beleaguered Sarnia nursing home. Twenty-six residents and 27 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began 48 days ago on April 23.

Ten residents have died.

Nearly 20 per cent of Lambton’s COVID-19 cases are at Vision – 270 people have tested positive for the virus in the area; 226 have recovered and 25 have died.

Nineteen per cent of the cases – 41 people – have been health care workers in long term care and retirement homes.

Last week, the COVID-19 positive residents of Vision were transfered to Bluewater Health for care.
