Graduation caravan brings the ceremony home for John Knox students

June 18, 2020

Wyoming’s Christian School took graduation on the road.

The staff of John Knox Christian School formed a vehicle parade and made their way to the homes of the graduates to ensure that the Grade 8 students were recognized for their achievement – despite the circumstances in which their year was completed.

Families like were told when the caravan would arrive, and many dressed up as they would for the usual ceremony.

Principal Ymko Boersma was on hand to offer congratulations to the students and reminisce on their time at the school. He also handed them the all-important diploma, while staff delivered small personal gifts.

Staff members also shared their own memories with students and family before posing for a socially distanced group photo.

Here Karissa Huizinga poses for a graduation picture on the front lawn of her Petrolia Line home with the staff of John Knox.
