Wingfield construction starts Friday in Petrolia
June 18, 2020
Construction season is starting in Petrolia.
Officials from the town say the reconstruction of Wingfield St begins at 7 am Friday morning and its expected to take until September. Water services will be renewed, as well as storm sewers and the road will be completely rebuilt as well as the curbs sidewalks and boulevards restored. The cost is expected to be around $1 million.
There will be no access to Walnut Street from Albany to Greenfield but there will still be access to the businesses on Wingfield.
Officials are asking residents on the street to park on the surrounding streets or municipal parking lots. Temporary water lines will be installed and if construction is underway in front of your home on garbage day, construction workers will help you get it to the nearest pickup site.
