The province is giving the St. Clair District Catholic School Board $3,105,351 to build at the Sacred Heart Elementary School.
It was part of an announcement of $500 million in funding for new capital and renewal projects in Ontario schools.
“The funding for this addition to the Sacred Heart Catholic School is great news for our community,” said Bob Bailey, MPP for Sarnia-Lambton in a news release.
“This investment will provide a quality learning environment and new opportunities for the children of Port Lambton.”
Catholic school board officials were not immediately available to explain the details of the expansion.
