Kaden Gray walked away with the Home Run Derby crown at the Canadian Premier Baseball League Showcase event.
The Wyoming product hit eight bombs in the final round to claim the crown over the weekend.
Meantime, he and Core Jackson of Wyoming along with Sarnia’s Dylan O’Rae all performed well in the showcase game itself.
Jackson had a pair of homers, Gray went deep once and O’Rae had an on-base percentage of .500.
The trio, all members of the Great Lake Canadians organization, played well defensively.
Gray and Jackson played minor baseball in Wyoming before moving up to the Canadians.
They are both scheduled to play collegiate baseball in the US in 2021.
