Ontario reporting under 1,900 new cases of COVID-19

Lambton Public Health is reporting six new COVID-19 Sunday.
Statistics released this morning show 87 people are ill – three less than Saturday. Another nine people have recovered.
There are nine outbreaks including five at long term care homes. At Vision Rest Home officials say all but one of the 33 people who live at the home have tested positive.
Across Ontario there are 230 homes in outbreak with 900 resident and 898 staff sick. Thirteen residents died yesterday. Since September, 1,681 seniors in long term care have died.
There is also an outbreak at Bluewater Health’s general medicine unit. Six staff and three patients were COVID-19 positive by Friday.
There are also three workplace outbreak, including one at High Park Farms in Enniskillen where by Friday eight people had tested positive.
Ontario reports 1,843 more COVID-19 cases Sunday with 43 more deaths.
