Courtright native wins Swiss Cup

Dustin Jeffrey had two assists to lead SC Bern to a 5-2 win over the Zurich Lions in the Swiss Cup championship game last Sunday.
The Courtright native who celebrated his 33rd birthday the day before the final had a goal and five assists over five games throughout the tournament. Jeffrey had played in three previous Swiss Cup tourneys with Lausanne dating back to 2016-17.
He won the Spengler Cup with Team Canada in Switzerland in January 2020.
Jeffrey was originally a sixth-round pick in the 2007 draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins and played parts of seven seasons in the NHL before moving to Europe.
