Ten now COVID-19 positive at Lambton College residence

Ten students at the Lambton College Residence have now tested positive for COVID-19.

It’s the largest outbreak in the county right now, as the number of active cases continues to ease.

Tuesday, Lambton Public Health reported there were eight people who tested positive for the virus, with 69 people ill right now. Since Friday, there have been 39 new cases in the community.

An outbreak was also declared at the North Lambton Childcare Centre-St Peter Canisius Site in Watford, where a staff and child tested positive.

Across the province, the number of people infected with COVID-19 has again dropped – today the province is reporting 3,265 people testing positive. Another 29 have died.

OPP nab driver doing 145 km/h on Forest Road

A driver with an apparent need for speed is facing charges after a traffic stop on Forest Road. Around 2:15 pm Tuesday, Lambton OPP noticed a vehicle speeding down Forest Road.
