Lambton’s daily COVID-19 cases climb into double digits again

Lambton Public Health is reporting 19 new cases of COVID-19 today.
The daily rate of COVID infections had slowed to the single digits recently however early this week, there have bee a number of double digit daily increases.
There are 90 people actively ill with the virus now including nine people at Afton Park Place Nursing Home, where two residents and seven staff are ill and Bluewater Health were four patients and three staff are sick.
The Independent has also learned there have been a significant number of cases of COVID-19 at Kettle and Stony Point First Nation. Health officials report there are 13 active COVID-19 cases in the community.
Across Ontario, there were 2,759 and 31 deaths.
