June 18, 2021
Lambton OPP have charged a Sarnia man after a car was found driving across a golf course in Petrolia.
Police were called around 7:20 last night about an erratic driver in town. The caller saw the driver on a closed road before making his way across the golf course.
Police found the driver and suspected they’d been drinking. Officers did a roadside screening test and then charged Jack Laanstra, 51, with two counts of operation of a vehicle while while impaired and driving on a closed highway. He’ll be in court July 26.
