Lambton Public Health is looking for a dog and its owner after a beachgoer was bit.
Officials say around 7:30 pm Monday, the red Pitbull with a white patch on its chest, was on the beach with a man, woman and two children. The dog was not on a leash when it bit the stranger.
If you have any information relating to the location of the dog and its owner, please contact Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 (ext. 3580) or toll-free 1-800-667-1839.
If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
