Petrolia man stabbed at Halloween party

A young Petrolia man is in hospital after being stabbed at his Halloween party Saturday.

Lambton OPP have not released any information about the incident on Grove St., however sources tell The Independent, some people from Sarnia arrived at the home expecting to be let into the party. The young man, who was hosting the party at his parent’s home while they were there, said they had not been invited and asked them to leave.

As he led them from the backyard to their car, the group attacked the host and stabbed him several times in the abdomen and back.

Lambton OPP, fire and paramedics were all called to the scene and the young man was taken to hospital in London. His condition is not known at this time.

It’s not clear whether those involved were arrested but police were on the scene until Sunday.
