US customs officers have seized over a ton of pot coming into Port Huron from Canada.
US Customs and Border Protection says in a news release over 2,027 pounds of marijuana was found within the trailer of an inbound commercial shipment at the Blue Water Bridge, Thursday evening.
The transport carrying food and heading to Columbus, Ohio, was flaged for secondary inspection. Customs officials found 15 wooden crates containing pot.
Officials say all ports of entry in Michigan have experienced a surge in contraband since the COVID-19 travel restrictions started in March 2020.
