Lambton OPP officer needs medical treatment after finding fentanyl

It’s evidence of just how toxic fentanyl can be.
Lambton OPP say an officer had to be taken to hospital after coming into contact with the drug during the search of a car.
On Feb. 21, police stopped a car in Thedford. It had a stolen licence plate. The driver was taken into custody and police searched the car finding fentanyl.
One of the officers started to feel the affects of the drug and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He was released after being monitored.
A North Middlesex man, Anthony Riley, 26, faces 10 charges including trafficking.
