Driver okay after car lands in St. Clair River

A 24 year-old Corunna woman is okay after her car slid into the St. Clair River near Courtright.
Lambton OPP, St. Clair Fire and Lambton paramedics were all called to the scene around 6:30 pm Tuesday after getting two calls from residents along the St. Clair Parkway saying a car had gone into the river.
The woman was able to get out of the vehicle before emergency responders arrived. Paramedic treated her for minor injuries at the scene.
Police didn’t lay charges and are reminding people to be careful about the changing weather conditions when driving.
Large amounts of melting snow can cause minor flooding on the roads and that can lead to hydroplaning and loss of control, OPP say.
