Flyers cut down the Blades in playoff action

The Petrolia Flyers are now 1-1 in PJHL tier two round robin playoff play following a 3-1 win over the Blades in Blenheim Sunday night.
Clay Dolbear’s power play goal early in the third period broke a 1-1 tie and stood up as the game-winner.
After a scoreless first period, the Blades struck first in the opening minute of the middle frame but Daniel Gibson scored at 16:25 of the second period to tie the contest at 1. Cole Hudson added an insurance goal with just over six minutes remaining in regulation time.
Tyler Richardson stopped 25 of 26 shots in the Petrolia cage.The same two teams will play on Thursday at Greenwood. Puck drop is 7:30.
