Stelpstra to run for NDP in Sarnia-Lambton

Dylan Stelpstra will carry the banner for the NDP in the provincial election in Sarnia-Lambton.

The children’s services worker, who is also a union vice president, will be running against Progressive Conservative Incumbent Bob Bailey, and Keith Benn of the New Blue Party. The provincial Liberals and the Green Party of Ontario have yet to nominate a candidate in the riding.

Stelpstra was born and raised in Sarnia and is focused on fixing the services like education, social assistance and long term care.

“People in our riding have been through a lot over the past few years, and they deserve a government that will help our community bounce back stronger than ever,” he says in a news release. “That means investing in the things that matter most to our community, like our local schools, fixing seniors care and making life more affordable. As a children services worker, I’m committed to making sure we have strong social services that families can rely on.”

The provincial election is June 2.
