Doxtator, Bressette help Ontario win National Aboriginal Championship

Corunna’s Bo Doxtator of the Mooretown Flags and Team Ontario beat Saskatchewan 3-2 in overtime on the weekend to capture the male division at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Nova Scotia.
Ontario was coached by Sarnia’s Brandon Biggers and the trainer was Bob Bressette of Kettle and Stony Point and the Petrolia Flyers.
Goalie Tre Altiman from Bkejwanaang First Nation (Walpole Island) and Defenseman Noble Stonefish (Munsee Delaware First Nation) who plays for the Dresden Jr Kings (pictured above with Doxtator and Bressette) were also part of Ontario’s championship team.
In the women’s final, Ontario lost 3-2 to Team Manitoba. Taryn Jacobs of Walpole Island was on the Ontario female team roster
