Warwick roundabout now under construction

July 11, 2022

Construction is underway on Lambton’s second round about.

Recently, Lambton County Council agreed to spend $3.3 million to turn the corner of Nauvoo and Egremont Roads into a roundabout. It was originally expected to cost $2 million and staff recommended construction be delayed for a year. However council decided to move forward.

Pre construction work began Monday with road detours beginning next week. Construction is expected to last until October.

In May 2022 the tenders closed for this project. With the submitted construction pricing for the civil works, the project is forecasted to exceed $3.3 million, which is 65% over the originally estimated budget.

Detours will be in place and posted. No through traffic will be permitted for the duration of the project. Detailed routes can be viewed online at lambtononline.ca/roadclosures.
