Man drowns off Grand Bend’s south beach
Aces win first two playoff games

The Alvinston Aces pushed across three runs in the 12th inning to beat Highgate, 4-1 on Wednesday to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five Southwest Middlesex second round playoff series. Devin Triest had the game-winning RBI.
On Tuesday, the Pami Madzulukwa of the Aces recorded a six-inning perfect game in beating Highgate, 7-0. Rowan Lam led Alvinston at the plate with four hits.
Game three is next Tuesday in Alvinston at 8.

The Independent A 67 year-old man has died in Lake Huron off Grand Bend. Lambton OPP were called to the south beach around 2:40 pm Sunday after receiving a call that there was an unresponsive person at the beach.
