Honouring Queen Elizabeth II

Petrolia Legion President Dennis Laker, left, and Sergeant-at-Arms Philip Laker laid a wreath in honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing at a ceremony held at the Petrolia cenotaph at 11 this morning. Legion’s across the country honoured the monarch on the same day as her funeral which was held in London, England. Queen Elizabeth II reigned for 70 years over Great Britain, Canada and the Commonwealth, the longest of any British monarch. She passed away Sept. 8 and was succeeded by her son, King Charles III.
