Plans for Camlachie mini arena shelved
Firefighters strap on their skates for Hayter Memorial Tournament in Alvinston

Firefighters from around Ontario are in Alvinston this weekend for the Hayter Memorial Hockey Tournament.
The tournament honours Jim and Mary Louise Hayter. The Alvinston couple were very active of the community and passed away in 2017. Jim Hayter was fire chief in Alvinston for 15 years.
The tournament has raised over $50,000 for Camp Bucko – a summer camp for kids with burns.
The tournament runs all weekend.
