Corunna’s Phillips, Everaert face 70 shots in Legionnaires loss

The hometown Leamington Flyers scored five unanswered goals in the second frame including two goals seven seconds apart late in the period on its way to a 10-2 win over the Sarnia Legionnaires in GOJHL action Sunday afternoon in Leamington.
Logan Phillips and Ethan Everaert were forced to make no fewer than 60 saves between them as Leamington peppered the Sarnia goals with 70 shots.
Cameron Graham and Ryan Richardson (below) each had a goal and an assist for Sarnia.
On Saturday night, the Flyers downed the Legionnaires, 7-2 in Sarnia. Richardson and Tanner Winegard scored in a losing cause.
The Legionnaires are now winless in 12 games and 9-17-4 overall.
They host LaSalle on Thursday at 7:10 at the Pat Stapleton Arena and take on the Rockets in Strathroy on Saturday at 7:30.
