The visiting Wheatley Sharks scored five unanswered goals in the second and third periods in a 6-2 win over the Flags in PJHL before just under 200 fans Saturday at the Moore Sports Complex.

Captain Logan Gardner (below) scored both goals for Mooretown and Brody Genyn had two assists. John Chartrand took the goaltending loss despite make 40 saves.

The Flags, winners just twice in their last eight games, are in fifth place in the Stobbs Division with a record of 11-9-1.

They take on the 73’s and Lakeshore on Tuesday and Friday night on the road and entertain Dresden on Saturday at 7:30 to close out the pre-Christmas portion of their schedule.

The Flags beat the Kings, 4-2 in Dresden last Friday. Masen Flett broke a tie game with two Mooretown goals in the final eight minutes of regulation time. Watford’s Malcolm Verstraten made 21 saves for the goaltending victory. Ex-Petrolia goalie Joseph Malinowski took the loss for Dresden making 34 stops.
